My name is Monsuru Olatunji Dauda, a chemical engineer and electrochemical technology leader with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University. I am passionate about waste-to-value innovation: turning what the world throws away into the chemicals, materials, and clean water it needs. My work focuses on advancing sustainable chemical and energy production. My background spans academia, research, and industry, and I bring expertise in electrochemical processes, catalyst and electrocatalyst design, adsorption and wastewater treatment technology, nanoparticle synthesis, and process design and scale-up. I have led teams in both academic and professional settings, and I am deeply committed to community impact through outreach and mentorship. I regularly present at leading scientific conferences, which keeps me connected to cutting-edge research and collaboration. Recognized with numerous honors for research excellence and leadership, I am driven to apply knowledge to real-world challenges and to make a lasting contribution to a more sustainable future. I am ambitious, thrive on challenges, and continually set new goals for myself. I stay highly organized and am always looking for the next opportunity to grow and do better.

My research focuses on advancing sustainable solutions for environmental and energy challenges through innovative chemical engineering approaches. I develop electrochemical technologies for CO₂ conversion into valuable chemicals and sustainable systems for industrial wastewater treatment using wate bio-derived materials. Utilizing advanced characterization techniques, computational modeling, and process optimization, I work to understand fundamental mechanisms and translate discoveries into scalable, commercially viable solutions. Through collaborations bridging academia and industry, my goal is to create practical technologies that address climate change, resource recovery, and environmental remediation for a more sustainable future.
